Funny what you come across on the interweb.
I particularly like January 7th.
Do you have a favourite?

So this is the first post under the new private-ish regime. I took the decision I didn't want people who knew me reading this blog. Well, not personally. You know , in the web sense. So not strangers in the traditional sense, not friends in the conventional sense. That's probably the strangest thing about blogging, that sense that you know or are known but at the same time balanced with anonymity. If you're one of the original invitees however you're here because what you write interests me in some way. So, welcome! Again, that is. To begin with you're very small in number but that might not necessarily stay that way as you'll see below.
There's things I can't say here in case someone from real life or business accidentally stumbles upon it. My stat-counter shows me pages where some have come from and it's all getting a bit too close to home.
Good ol' Blogger gives us "author only" or "invitees only" as the two privacy options. Being the awkward bastard that I am that's not going to be enough. Therefore I'm inventing a third privacy option that you will be complicit in.
If you think someone you know (in the web or personal sense) might be interested in reading this blog then just drop their email addy to tinyworldreview@googlemail.com and I'll send out an invite.
So, in a way it'll be a private blog but growing, not so much virally, nor even mouldily, more Arctic lichen-y.
Option 3 then. Clear as mud?
I'll link to this post in the sidebar for any newcomers there might be and post something more newsworthy later in the week when you've had time to log in and all. In the meantime all my posts have been migrated over from the old Spaces blog (sans comments) and categorised so feel free to leaf through my archives.

I'm going to make this blog private but grant access to those who want to read it.
You'll need to leave your email address (I think it must be a Gmail one) so that you can view it.
If you don't have a Gmail account and want one just email me at the email address contained within my Blogger profile.
I haven't been blogging or commenting much lately though I still take time to stalk some blogs here and there. New job, away a bit and numbness (cause unknown but I suppose a visit to a doctor might help) in some of the fingers on my left hand have played their part.
I just wanted to say Merry Christmas. If you're a non-Christian raised type and have another religion I'm still saying Merry Christmas because, well.... it is Christmas and I'm not the sort of P.C. arsehole who's gonna go round pretending it's not (lest any petals take offence).
Enjoy your presents, family, loved ones (usually they're different people, let's face it), eat sensibly, drink irresponsibly and I might see you all on the other side, or not. Personally I intend to be so bad that I'm going to need an elevator to take me up to St. Nick's.

I need to put in a lot of effort at work at the moment. As time is finite I think one of the first things to go has to be this. I only started blogging to learn something about the web and so I was curious when MSN started their Spaces blogging service in December 2004 and was one of the first to sign up. I moved to Blogger in April this year, some of the old entries have been migrated across, some haven't, the old blog and it's archives being here. Most of it is crap though there are some funny posts here and there, the sort of thing I like reading when I cruise other blogs. To those who call here occasionally, thanks for reading... and commenting. I don't know if this will be permanent or merely a sabbatical so I'll leave it up for now.
Thanks to my blog friend Sarah I came across this site that shows your celebrity lookalikes.
Shy as I am I've left my moniker out but apparently these are the celebs I'm most similar to.
That's what I have. In case you don't know it's a condition where the symptoms are ....

Remember to backup a copy of your template, boys and girls, to your hard drive.......just in case you somehow tinker to the point where you completely fuck it up and have to start again.
Of course, I don't know anyone stupid enough to do that.

On visiting some blogs I frequent I caught a piece of comment spam. You know the sort. Sometimes it's to promote selling something, sometimes (and this is even worse), it's to self promote a blog - and no acknowledgement of what's been written in the entry this piece of faecal blog waste has been dumped in. Bad manners I say. I even saw one such piece of flotsam placed on an entry where the blog owner had just written an entry about recently losing her father. I wrote a little about the subject here on my old blog. The latest piece of spam is this.....
I have opened a new MSN space and invite you to come and check it out. This is not just any regular space...this space is somewhere you can come and tell a deep dark secret, confess to anything that is plaguing you, tell a story of love lost or whatever crosses your mind, or just make a wish for all to see.
You can remain completely anonymous or leave your name, the choice is always yours! I opened this space to give advice and put my schooling to some use while im off work, i also know that we all thrive on the stories of others! I also realized we all have a secret or fantasy we are dying to tell but cant! Well come to Miss Pink's space and let it all out! Thats what it's there for! Dont be shy now...i know this space can be a huge success!
Please read the WELCOME blog for further details. My email address is also posted if you would like to send a note or add me to messenger.
Be the first to click the link and tell your deep and darkest thoughts! Cant wait to see you at the newest space that will most definatly cause a stir. And we all need that occasionally!
Best Regards,
Miss Pink.Ca
... promoting this blog. What the fuck's all that about? "Got no friends? Tell me your secrets, publicly, for all to see and mock." Great! As you can see from above and this comment page here spelling and grammar aren't important. What really takes the biscuit though is this statement...
So, that's any feedback is welcome as long as it's not critical. OK. And uninvited comments that you don't like will be deleted. Got it. Here's a comment, I'll put it here though.... "Take your 'lil pink book and stick it up your hypocritical pink arse you nosey bitch. Sideways."
Lola, tell me this isn't your wee sister.

At the time of posting I've got a short example of a movie in my embedded Windows Media Player on the right hand sidebar (though this may not be the case by the time you read this). It's actually quite easy to do (otherwise I wouldn't have been able to do it). So what do you need? Either a digital stills camera with a movie mode or a digital video camera, a web hosting service and some software-in my case Windows Movie maker 2.1 (which is free) and probably already on your XP pc. For my example I used the movie mode in my stills camera which, even though it's low resolution 360x240 pixels will come out fine. You don't want or need a higher resolution anyway as the resulting file has to be as small as possible so that visitors to your page don't wait long for your blog page or movie to download.
First step. After downloading the movie from your camera to your p.c. open Windows Movie Maker (Start/All Programs/Accessories)and "import video". This will work if your movie has the suffix .avi or .mpeg or .wmv. If your movie is in .mov file format (which is Quicktime and not supported) all is not lost as you can use software to convert it to a file format supported by Windows Movie Maker like .avi using one of these trials Mov Converter, Convert Movie, or the free MPeg4CamToAvi. Having converted the imported video ( if necessary) drag the video to the time line to begin editing. Effects, titles and cutting can all be done here. Excellent instructions on the editing here from Microsoft Movie Maker's website. When you're happy with the result save the output to your p.c. as a .wmv or .avi selecting 512 DSL (or lower) output quality to compress the file size. And that's all there is to it. Your movie is now ready to upload to your hosting service and play in the embedded Media Player.
Having posted a blog on MSN Spaces since it's inception I've decided this might be a better home for it. MSN doesn't like my browser of choice (Firefox) and has all those damn integrated features being added on that require IE's Active X controls, I don't know where it' going to end up but adding some sort of integration with their Xbox 360 doesn't bode well.
What should you expect to see here? Swearing mostly. Complaining. Tales of drunkenness and inappropriate behaviour (definitely not p.c.). So if that's your thing, welcome. If not, fuck off over to the next blog.
Thanks
You may have noticed a new orange symbol appearing on the right hand side (this'll make no sense if you're reading this at some future date when I've completely bolloxed up the layout of this blog page) which is the RSS feed symbol.
Clicking on this takes you through to the RSS feed (I know, it's so f'ing obvious isn't it) where you add the said RSS feed (see I said it again) to a newsreader or feed aggregator of your choice like Feedburner or Bloglines or Google or Newsgator or del.icio.us and others.
Now naturally I feel like Charlie Clever Clogs today for doing this but who f'ing knows if it works? Allright, I do. I checked it and it greatly improves the look of the RSS feed in Firefox and dovetails brilliantly with the new Internet Explorer 7 beta 2.
Anyway, give it a try if you want to. Or just click on the damn thing for fun. Or send me money. Or give me offers of sex.
Yep, either of the last two will be just dandy.

Every day we all get strange and unusual Google searches that point to our Spaces which never cease to amaze us .
This morning's best (and non pornographic) example from mine is the following .
Of the 9800 answers found for this search mine was top .
update - no, this has nothing to do with the entry dated 26th September !
Fuck . I cannot be bothered with this ! Another entry laboriously typed up and linked , hit publish and the great MSN hoover sucks it into oblivion never to be seen again .
I resign .
