moving swiftly on.......

Having posted a blog on MSN Spaces since it's inception I've decided this might be a better home for it. MSN doesn't like my browser of choice (Firefox) and has all those damn integrated features being added on that require IE's Active X controls, I don't know where it' going to end up but adding some sort of integration with their Xbox 360 doesn't bode well.

What should you expect to see here? Swearing mostly. Complaining. Tales of drunkenness and inappropriate behaviour (definitely not p.c.). So if that's your thing, welcome. If not, fuck off over to the next blog.

Thanks

for a slideshow..
1. set up a free flickr account
2. create a "set" of photographs you want in the slideshow
3. when you look at the "set" there will be a link at the top right to "view as slideshow"
4. click on it
5. copy the url of slideshow into one of the editable links in your blog template

You and Sarah are smarter than the rest of us.

Yesterday, I deleted messenger. I hate the new 7.5. It's like Big Brother. I went to sign into MSN a bit later, and it told me it would not allow sign-in until I installed the "latest" version of messenger. Excuse me? I PAY for the privilege of using MSN. If I want to delete messenger, I should be able to. Bastards. It ticked me off and I downloaded an older version. It worked. Pricks.

Anyway, glad you didn't disappear. There's enough of us retards that go that route.

ohhhh so happy to see you're still gonna play :)
Love the photo of mini-me
damn, she's a gem

Is it okay to change my link to you on my blog?

absolutely bren.

Jock, I'm going to try to get this one working right, had enough of the instability and general fuckery on Spaces. Seems like I should be able to do most of everything here although a bit more html is handy.

That should keep me occupied for another month or so, will see what happens after that.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Monty. I baked an apple pie for you. Don't rush in returning the plate. I'm sure you'll love it here. Oh, and be careful of the Smith's dog- once he's got your leg....well, you know.

I see you've also gotten to some of the tweeks. So many here.

Sarah, thanks for the welcome and I look forward to eating your pie.

The dog's been drugged with some of my stash. You won't have any trouble from him for quite a while.

Tweaking, yes. Just starting to tweak though my knowledge of html is on a par with my knowledge of Greek literature. My template looks like double dutch (actually, that's an easy language, bad example) but I'm getting there. Do you know any good resources for the whizz-bangs?

Monty- I kind of tripped upon the sites with all of the "insider knowledge" by googling blogspot.

I got my background template and some good ideas from here: http://blogger-templates.blogspot.com/

It hasn't been updated in quite a while, and you have to go through the archives to see all of the templates, but it's a good starting point.

I also toyed around A LOT with the template page, changing margin size, adding spots, deleting others.

I'm sure you'll keep yourself busy tweaking.

Oh- yes, Indigo will hate you if her comment isn't up immediately. Sometimes the posts take a while to post.

If she yells at you, a good pat on the rear and a naked picture of a handsome man will surely change her tone. ;)

Wow, Monty. This new place is FANCY!

Unfortunately, I'll remain on my simple pink-plaid site until they pry it from my cold, dead hands. I'm afraid of technology. And change. And bats. And big dogs. And...

Well, you get the idea. I'm just a coward.

Ta Sarah. I'll check that out. I've just been tinkering with it myself so far. Proabably won't do much more exotic than I already have. I'll pick your brains soon I'm sure when I want to steal something.

Kay, a basic template looks almost exactly like this so it isn't that hard and there are many to choose from. It only gets a bit exotic when you want to put something fancy on. Seems to be more stable and reliable than Spaces though and it looks the same in both Firefox and IE.
Thanks for dropping by.
