Microsoft Vista. Quel surprise

I've been aware of this for a while now hence my sudden interest in learning Linux, specifically Ubuntu Linux. It gains special significance when you know that Microsoft will withdraw support (security patches etc.) for XP 12 months after Service Pack 3 which is expected in about 6 months. So that means 18 months and then you have to migrate to Vista.

I don't think so!

Vista scares me. Normally, I'm the first in line, risking my PC for the newer, faster, prettier OS. I am not in line this time around.

Sarah, you should try dual booting with Ubuntu, get some practice in now. Your eldest will soon be using a PC and it might be a good idea to have his PC running on something secure.

P.S. For Windows try out Fireox 2.0 RC1, seems to be noticably faster. Some of your extensions might not work but the full release should only be 3/4 weeks away.

Unrelated, Monty, but yeah, you'll lose all your personalized coding when you switch over to Beta. There's a drop and drag menu to add it back, so it's not too bad, just takes getting used to. I like both, truthfully.

So the code gets deleted but is still captured for me to cut and paste back in again, did I understand that correctly?

Monty: when you switch to beta, a copy of the old template is saved by blogger. You can switch back to it if you're not happy with the new upgraded template, but you'll still be in beta.

Got it.

Ooh! You did it! It looks great, Monty! How do you like it? Did you have any problems with the templates? Aren't you going to offer me a drink?

Very soothing colors.

I've got new template jealousy now.
